TY - JOUR PY - 2006// TI - Editorial JO - Annales medico-psychologiques A1 - Metzger, J.-y. A1 - Roeser, C. SP - 324 EP - 328 VL - 164 IS - 4 N2 - In recent years, many studies on the identification and early treatment of psychotic disorders have focussed less on a solution to the issue of the evolution of an acute psychosis than on the treatment of schizophrenia through highlighting the factors of vulnerability and the clinical, biological or cognitive markers. What is in question is then more a confirmation of a diagnosis and the initiation of measures to limit the effects of a chronic pathology than the treatment of a first psychotic episode. In this study on the first psychotic episode, we have tried to determine if the present trend of studies on schizophrenia may be found in the field of bipolarity and if there are similarities or differences. © 2006.
