TY - JOUR PY - 2007// TI - One personality disorder can hide another JO - l'Information Psychiatrique A1 - Lucchelli, J.P. SP - 451 EP - 457 VL - 83 IS - 6 N2 - The chapter on personality disorders is to be revised in the DSM-V. The categorial, nosographic perspective is to be replaced by a dimensional perspective since the categorical classification raises clinical problems due to a high level of comorbidity; it is frequent for instance for a single patient to display aspects of several personality disorders, belonging to different groups (A, B or C). We study three clinical tableaux in which we emphasise the need to refer to the psychopathology examination rather than to behavioural criteria when diagnosing a personality disorder, so as not to run the risk of confusing schizotypical disorders with borderline disorders.
