Road traffic crashes, drowning, fires, interpersonal violence, poisoning, and suicide are all among the leading causes of children worldwide. Injury prevention efforts are an important societal investment. Injury prevention is best accomplished through an integrated and comprehensive approach that involves multiple partners. Pediatricians are a very important stakeholder in the prevention of injuries among children.
