N2  - This paper is a commentary on a judicial decision in the Touzet contre la Caisse primaire d'assurance maladie et la S.A. Renault affair, which deals with a case of suicide in the workplace. The decision ruled that the newly implemented working conditions at work constituted a significant risk for the health and safety of the workers. The paper describes the main questions of fact and law discussed in the court ruling and insists on the relations between the interpretation of facts and issues of causality.
