N2 - INTRODUCTION: Suicidal behavior is defined as any act committed against a person runs it, with varying degrees of lethal intent, including suicide attempts and completed suicide.
OBJECTIVE: To characterize patients with suicide attempts that were treated at the Mental Health in 2014.
METHODS: The study group represented the 24 people who tried. Given the small size of the universe was decided to study the total of people and ignore the selection of a sample. The subjects were classified according to age, sex, occupation, method used for suicide, the attempted and Popular Councils to which they belonged. The information was collected from the survey of these patients. The information obtained was stored in a database created for this purpose. The results are expressed as percentages and absolute values.
RESULTS: The attempt was more frequent in young women using mainly psychotropic drugs. The Ama occupation from home.
