TY - JOUR PY - 2016// TI - Detection of fipronil in postmortem samples by LCMS using solid phase extraction JO - Indian journal of forensic medicine and toxicology A1 - Jameela, S.R. A1 - Joseph, S. A1 - Sivadasan, K.G. A1 - Thankamany, V.C. SP - 60 EP - 62 VL - 10 IS - 2 N2 - A specific method to detect fipronil in postmortem samples with solid phase extraction is presented. For sample clean up a simple but selective solid phase extraction is chosen. Elution was done with 1:1 mixture of dichloromethane and ethyl acetate. Fipronil was detected in stomach tissue and in blood sample. For LCMS gradient elution with a mixture of acetonitrile and water was used. The column was Hypersil Gold. This method is applied to a suicidal case involving intoxication with Fipronil. © 2016, Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. All rights reserved.
