TY - JOUR PY - 2022// TI - Voluntary poisoning with duloxétine and quétiapine: About a clinical case JO - Journal Europeen des Urgences et de Reanimation A1 - Anani-mekle, S. SP - 39 EP - 44 VL - 34 IS - 1 N2 - The toxic effect of duloxetine and quétiapine poisoning appears within the six hours after ingestion in the clinic studies. We report the case of a 55-year-old man who ingested between 1.6 g and 2.4 g of duloxetine, 1 g of quétiapine and alcohol for the suicide attempt. Signs of overdose occur 15 hours after ingestion. It is mainly duloxetine poisoning. The patient presents a coma, a tachycardia without QT abnormality, an arterial hypotension requiring resuscitation. He recovery completely 48 hours after ingestion. This case report suggests that an overdose with the reported doses requires clinical monitoring of at least fifteen hours. The mechanism behind the delay in the onset of signs of intoxication is not known. © 2022 Elsevier Masson SAS
