N2  - Psychiatric assessment was carried out on 95 patients who were referred following attempted suicide. Forty eight patients were living in an urban area, and forty seven patients were living in a rural area of Co. Louth, Republic of Ireland. Suicide attempters were found to be less integrated into community life and were mostly unemployed. Female suicide attempters were more commonly found to have sub clinical depression in the rural areas.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
