N2  - This article describes a model designed by an ad hoc group in French-speaking Switzerland to help professionals meeting suicidal patients. Based on current scientific knowledge, it promotes the clinical encounter with patient rather than a quantitative risk assessment, which may interfere with therapeutic alliance.
