N2  - Airbags are now standard in most new vehicles and have contributed greatly to a reduction in the number of fatalities resulting from RTAs. Various injuries have been reported as a result of airbag deployment including face, eye, chest and upper limb injuries. Also, concern exists that airbags may inflate in low speed collisions unnecessarily. Otological symptoms, including hearing loss and tinnitus have been described secondary to airbag inflation following low speed RTAs. Airbag inflation following a RTA is a relatively common occurrence, however, otological complications can often be missed at the time of presentation. We describe a case of otological symptoms following airbag inflation in low speed car crashes.<p />
