N2  - Snowmobiling is the fastest growing winter sport in North America. At present (August 1972) there are approximately 350,000 snow-machines registered in the State of Michigan which is an increase of 45% from one year ago. There are approximately 2,150,000 snow-machines in the United States of American. Due to the rising use of snow-machines a project on the evaluation of injuries associated with snowmobiling was undertaken for the season of 1971-72.<p />
