Abstract

Mechanistic study on the system has been performed with the aid of XPS in combination with other appraisal techniques, like TGA/LOI/CONE. It follows that remarkable enhancement of silicon-containing species at the surface region in the course of the combustion appear to play the crucial role for the protective barrier.
