Abstract

We report the case of a 40-year-old man who developed life-threatening angioedema and hypotension following the bite of a Gila monster (Heloderma suspectum), a venomous lizard of the southwestern United States. He recovered after treatment with IV fluids, epinephrine, antihistamines, and corticosteroids.
