Abstract

This Circular contains 44 research problem statements dealing with areas of pedestrian research that require attention. The priority distribution of the research problem statements is as follows: 6 High priority; 8 Medium priority; and 30 Low priority. The high and medium priority research problem statements are presented in full. The low priority problem statements are listed by title only. Members and friends of the Transportation Research Board Committee on Pedestrians submitted research problem statements, which were then reviewed, prioritized, and selected for inclusion in this Circular by the Subcommittee on Research Problem Statements.
