Abstract

General emotional reactivity as measured by the Pressey X-O test and its sub-tests is more closely related to annoyance than to instability, as indicated by a median r of .27 for annoyance and .17 for Woodworth score. Affectivity scores correlate positively with annoyance, but idiosyncrasy scores correlate negatively, indicating that persons conforming to the group pattern are more "annoyable." There is no significant relationship between annoyance and instability as measured by the Woodworth type of questionnaire. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
