Abstract

General emotional reactivity as measured by the Pressey X-O test and its sub-tests is more closely related to annoyance than to instability, as indicated by a median r of .27 for annoyance and .17 for Woodworth score. Affectivity scores correlate positively with annoyance, but idiosyncrasy scores correlate negatively, indicating that persons conforming to the group pattern are more "annoyable."
