Abstract

5 small groups of Chicago students were given advance therapy sessions to reduce anxiety about the 6-hour comprehensive examination. Later these 25 experimental subjects and 19 control subjects were questioned about their reactions to the exam. 3 of the 5 groups seemed to benefit in some respect from the therapy sessions, but many factors were uncontrolled.
