Abstract

"Relating rank to score, knowledge and social distance are linear, while hostility is curvilinear. Given the rank order of social distance, hostility and knowledge vary inversely to the point of least knowledge; from the point of least knowledge onward, hostility and knowledge vary directly with hostility accelerating more rapidly than formerly."
