Abstract

Describes a case of demoniac possession of a woman aged 52 yrs. Opines that such possessions are largely hysterical in character. The patient described suffered from depression said to be due to delusions of being possessed by Satan or an evil spirit. Details of the condition, which lasted for 2 yrs, along with the previous history, and the course of treatment have been provided.
