Abstract

"A number of personality correlates of decision in a psychophysical situation were found. Overly confident people tended to be rigid and dogmatic; overly cautious people tended toward introspection and self-abasement, and individuals with realistic confidence in their decisions appeared to be self-reliant and socially perceptive. Fast deciders (in this particular situation) were passive, suggestible, and conforming, while slow deciders were ascendant, self-assured, and humorous."
