Abstract

The West Virginia Turnpike consists of two lanes accompanied by a wide shoulder on either side that, when the grading gets steep, is used for trucks. This is known as a creeper lane and is called to question by many people who perceive a turnpike to be a superhighway with all of the latest technology. This article discussed the need for a creeper lane due to the terrain and the importance of a climber lane for trucks.
