Abstract

Body size and shape change as we age, but anthropometric measurements to describe the location and magnitude of the changes are rarely available for workspace dimensions. Data are frequently available for measurements of height and weight, however. The author examines age greakouts for height and weight for a number of cross-sectional samples and discusses some comparisons with longitudinal studies. Ten workspace dimensions from the only known national survey of civilian men and women are also examined for evidence of change compared to baseline mean values in groups of women and men less than 30 years old.
