Abstract

A case is presented of a child who sustained a full-thickness burn to the glabella and nose area, associated with an underlying fracture and cerebrospinal fluid leakage. This first reported case of a flare gun injury illustrates some important principles of facial management and soft tissue cover, in both the acute and the reconstructive phases.
