Abstract

With one person out of every five owning a car in Anerica, there is a consuming national interest in driving. Nowhere is this manifested more clearly than in motorists' demand for driver clinics.

Unlike children, adults cannot be educated by the group method to drive safely. Each represents a personal problem to be treated only in private conference. The raison detre of a driver clinic is, therefore, to give the adult conficential advice of an objective nature on what is wrong with his driving and what he should do about it.
