Abstract

Women represent an underreported segment of the spinal cord injury (SCI) community. A majority of the literature written on SCI deals with its impact from the male point of view. Very few articles acknowledge or address the social problems that women with SCI encounter. This article will address the specific social issue of domestic violence and will offer a number of recommendations for the rehabilitation community.
