Abstract

Automatic activation of smoke control systems is accomplished by the building fire alarm system. The fire alarm system along with the automation system, are integrated to monitor and control the smoke control system. The principal components and operation of the two systems are described. In addition HVAC operating modes, are described as they relate to smoke control.
