Abstract

The article outlines organization of the first aid service in the USSR immediately after a traffic accident has occurred. Injured road users are hospitalized, investigation is performed by the government car inspection team and the technical service is in the charge of road traffic regulation. It points out the need for preventive measures in order to decrease the consequences of car accidents.
