Abstract

Micro distillation is a very successful method of separating liquids from a non-liquid matrix. The microdistiller is a device, which allows the exclusion of disturbing influences on the matrix when it comes to the determination of ethanol. The advantage of this method is proven by the example of 'determining blood alcohol' by means of muscle tissue. This especially applies in cases when no blood sampling could be carried out to determine alcohol consumption.
