Abstract

Hitherto it has been accepted that blood samples taken with Venulen do not undergo and change in the alcohol until opened for examination, irrespective of the period of time which elapsed and external conditions. This supposition can no longer be supported. Slight changes (decreases up to 0.03(per mille)) are possible even within a few days at room temperature. Under unfavorable conditions, i.e. at high ambient temperatures, even greater changes (0.08 up to +0.07(per mille)) must be expected.
