Abstract

The article focuses on the Arizona appellate court case Mario W. v. Kapio regarding the constitutionality requirement of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) tissue samples of juveniles. DNA samples can be constitutionally taken from defendants of serious offenses in order to protect the public and solve pending investigations. It further discusses various other cases related to this issue solved by other Supreme Courts.
