Abstract

Coordinated community responses (CCRs), established to promote batterer accountability and improve victim safety can and do work. Yet CCRs are difficult to implement. Quarter needed community response is required to elements: First, key stakeholders must actively participate in the response. Ideally the participants will include law-enforcement, prosecution, courts, probation, victim services, civil attorneys, medical, Mental health, and community-based advocates. Second, the stakeholders must reach consensus on the most appropriate response to domestic violence in their communities.
