Abstract

The article focuses on the efforts of the Serbian government in making state policies to combat human trafficking. It states the government's establishment of a national mechanism using a balance initiative between authorities, law enforcement and legal system which put Serbia ahead of other states in fighting the crime. Moreover, it mentions the failure of the government in issuing basic funding and staffing to Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to help human trafficking victims.
