Abstract

The article presents a speech by Luis CdeBaca, Ambassador in combating and monitoring human trafficking at the U.S. Department of State, delivered at the symposium titled Successes and Failures in International Human Trafficking Law, held at Michigan on 5 February, 2011 in which he discusses the abolition of slavery, exploitation and sufferings of trafficking victims. He also discusses the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000.
