Abstract

The article offers the editors reflections on the article "Modern-Day Comfort Women," which appears in the issue. The author finds this academic contribution to be important because it draws attention to the role that the U.S. military plays in the human trafficking industry. She references many studies that have been completed in an effort to raise awareness about the corrupt practices of the U.S. Armed Forces while occupying foreign territories. Instances of human trafficking in Korea, Bosnia and South Korea are discussed.
