Abstract

Deaths resulting from falling accidents account for 40% of all labor-related deaths in the construction industry and outnumber deaths from any other cause at construction work sites. Measures to reduce accidental falls from working surfaces other than scaffolding are of the highest priority. This paper details a survey (questionnaire) of companies to ascertain the equipment they actually use to prevent falls from construction work sites on slopes. We collected basic data and engineering findings useful for preventing falling accidents through construction safety management on "cliffs and slopes, " the major working surfaces, apart from scaffolding, from which falling accidents occur. We also identified issues to consider in the future based on the results of the survey and past accident analyses.

建設業における労働災害による死亡者数は従来から墜落災害によるものが最も多く，建設業全体の約4割を占めている．このうち，足場以外の作業箇所からの墜落災害を減少させるための対策が急務となっている．本論文では，足場以外に墜落災害が多い「崖・斜面」に関係する斜面工事の安全管理に関して，特に墜落災害を防止するための基礎的なデータ・技術的知見の収集を目的として，斜面工事に従事している企業を対象とした墜落防護設備に関する実態調査（アンケート調査）を行った．また，それらの結果と既往の災害分析の結果を踏まえて，今後検討すべき課題の抽出を行った．
