Abstract

Confusing role expectations and changing societal norms have encouraged greater numbers of male clients to seek assistance through counseling. This article explores some of the complexities, fears, and concerns experienced by the male client that may hinder the development of a supportive and productive relationship. It discusses the challenges of working with men's issues and encourages group facilitators to consider the potential benefits afforded men in the group counseling process.
