Abstract

Euphorbia is a diverse genus of flowering plants that produce a corrosive latex sap which is toxic to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. The genus is widely distributed throughout Australia and New Zealand (both native and naturalised), and there are over 2000 recognised species worldwide.
