Abstract

Burning rates of Douglas fir wood were measured using crosspiled sticks 0. 64, 1. 27, 1. 90, and 2. 54 cm in cross-sectional dimensions. Burning was 1. 4 to 4. 2 times as fast with the whirlwind as without.
