Abstract

Four explicit empirical equations were developed for use in a computer program to hydraulically design a high-pressure carbon dioxide fire protection system. The program incorporated an iterative technique, which the authors consider essential in the accurate design of carbon dioxide systems. The accuracy of this computer analysis has been confirmed with field tests at the Eastman Kodak Company.
