Abstract

An overall structure is modeled three dimensionally using rectangular boxes. The boxes are arranged so that each wall of the structure nearly coincides with a wall of one of the boxes. Method to predict the smoke and fire behavior in a succession of interconnected compartments containing noncombustible and combustible contents, thermally insulated, as well as conducting walls, openings between compartments, and ducts with fans.
