Abstract

This paper discusses some basic criteria that should be considered when a home-to-work transportation demonstration project is planned. Particular attention is given to the concept of relating the level of investment that is required if the objectives of a demonstration project are to have at least a 0.5 probability of being detected. The results of a case study in a large urban areas are discussed in detail. /Author/
