Abstract

Falls are a common and potentially dangerous problem in an aging population. To detect persons with a high fall risk in a primary care setting is an important task. A detailed history and simple screening help to detect persons at risk. Persons with elevated fall risks benefit from a systematic assessment of all reversible risk factors, training programs and a combination of vitamin D and calcium.
