Abstract

According to the adverse effects of the buried pipeline caused by tunnel construction in sand, the deformation characteristics of the buried pipeline were studied by using the indoor model test considering the influence factors such as the pipeline depth, the tunnel depth and the angle of tunnel and pipeline. On the basis of the experimental study, the control standard of pipeline safety about the pipeline depth, the tunnel depth and the angle of tunnel and pipeline was put forward based on the theories of pipeline permissible stress and pipeline bending deformation. The experimental results show that the displacement of the pipeline is basically the Gaussian distribution, and the maximum pipeline displacement is nonlinearly non-monotonically increasing, and the width coefficient of the pipeline is nonlinearly non-monotonically decreasing with the pipeline depth and tunnel depth increasing, and both of them are nonlinearly decreasing with the angle of tunnel and pipeline increasing. The pipeline and tunnel proximity coefficient and pipeline deformation coefficient were defined, and the pipeline deformation coefficient and pipeline and tunnel proximity coefficient obey the fourth order polynomial function, and when pipeline and tunnel proximity coefficient is around 0.8, the pipeline deformation degree is the largest. Pipeline normalization curves are close to each other, and considering the overall deformation of the pipeline, when the angles of pipeline and tunnel are between 60 and 90, the pipeline deformation is the most serious, also, the third order polynomial function between the pipeline deformation coefficient and the angle of pipeline and tunnel was established.
