Abstract

An approach for simulating damage process of prestressed reinforced concrete structures under impact load by applying the discrete element method is presented. An element model that can simulate the reinforced concrete and the method to simulate the prestressed concrete are brought forward. The method to select the damp coefficient is also discussed in this paper. The result of numerical simulation indicates that the method brought forward in this paper is reasonable and available.
