Abstract

The soil liquefying is one of the main disasters of the earthquake. This paper calculated the limit bearing weight of the pile of foundation of the bridges pre-and-after the earthquake liquefied. The result shows that after the soil liquefied, the transverse limit bearing weight of the pile foundation would reduce obviously, and the decrease is correlated with the liquefying soil depth around with the pile foundation. The depth of the soil around the pile foundation is deeper, and the degree of the soil liquefied is more highly, then the level strength modulus m of the ground soil would reduce more, the transverse limit bearing weight of the pile foundation would also reduce more. At the same time, the level displacement under the same load would increase greatly.
