Abstract

In introductory stage of automated vehicle into market, automated vehicle control reflecting individual driving style is presumed to contribute to secure feeling and acceptability. In this study, we proposed and demonstrated a modeling method with a small number of parameters to adapt brake timing at intersection by automated vehicle control to each individual characteristics. An experiment using a real vehicle on a proving ground showed the effectiveness of our method to increase the drivers' secure feeling and acceptability.
