Abstract

The importance of information sounds is increasing with spread of driver assistance systems. In this paper, the characteristics of information sound that can provide not only urgent/critical feel but also luxury feel were studied. Wave type, fundamental frequency, envelope, harmonic composition and blowing period were decided with subjective evaluations. Luxury feel has only odd harmonic, low fundamental frequency and release envelope. Luxury and urgent/serious feel has non-harmonic only in the frequency band of 2000 to 4000 Hz and intermittent blowing pattern.
