Abstract

For the reduction of minor neck injury during rear-end impacts, an advanced dynamic test method with BioRID-II dummy has been discussed in the UN ECE/WP29/GRSP/GTR7. This study focuses on the reduction of the variation differences of influence factors such as the backset and the head angle of the initial setting positions for BioRID-II responses, and the relationship among the responses, the backset and the head angle as initial setting position for advanced dynamic test method with BioRID-II is obtained. Based on the results, discussions and proposals on how to reduce these variation differences are advanced.
