Abstract

Our previous study proposed a DCA (Deceleration for Collision Avoidance) as a novel collision risk index, and verified effectiveness of FOCWS (Forward Obstacles Collision Warning System) based on the DCA. The present manuscript proposes a new visual information presentation of the DCA, which simulates a windshield display. Driving simulator experiments are performed to discuss the differences in effect on driving behaviors caused by the difference of the two information presentation methods.
