Abstract

In this paper, probability of survival (Ps) on road accident in Japan was analyzed. A total of 5,005 road accident injury data from Japan Trauma Data Bank (JTDB) were used to estimate Japanese Ps model by using logistic regression modeling. These were statistically significant relation between Ps and RTS, ISS and age score. The Ps model has shown a good correlation with actual survival rate. In addition, Ps model by road user type was estimated. It was found that Bicycle accident patients with sever head injury are classified to high risk group based on Ps analysis. From the result, Ps analysis has a good possibility for injury prediction of post crash safety.
