Abstract

We are developing A Survey Simulator to Evaluate Safety Systems (ASSESS). This simulator generates a traffic environment on 3-D virtual space in computer, such as an actual intersection, within which vehicles (agents) run autonomously in a virtual traffic flow. This paper shows a vehicle model algorithm of ASSESS which is a program composed of a bicycle model and an algorithm of brake assist system which is selected as an evaluation target of ASSESS. It is conformed that a vehicle model algorithm and an algorithm of brake assist system is able to simulate the braking behavior of a real vehicle.
